Usually when a Samsung goes bad it is due to an electrical issue. This is because they are very dependent on the computers and other sensors on which they are designed to function. In fact, this is my chief complaint on Samsung appliances, that they are way over engineered! I’m of the opinion that they simpler the design is, the less likely it is to fail.
So I was surprised to find that the Samsung dryer I was called out to look at had a mechanical issue, the belt was broken. Actually the break was caused by the tensioner moving slightly out of position causing the belt to jump the pulley and get tangled.
However, I was able to get the parts same day and get the dryer back online, much to the owner’s delight!
